Overview

Mount Kailash is a mountain in western Tibet, reaching a height of 6715m. It has a dome-like shape and is covered in snow, resembling precious jewels. People believe it is the sacred abode of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvathi. The mountain is also revered by Buddhists, Jains, and followers of the Bon religion, who consider it a holy place associated with their spiritual leaders.

Every year, thousands of pilgrims visit Mount Kailash, making a seasonal pilgrimage between the last week of April and the first week of October. However, the weather conditions at the beginning and end of the season may not be comfortable.

For those who prefer to avoid long road trips, there is a trip plan available for the Kailash pilgrimage via the Lucknow-Nepalgunj-Simikot-Hilsa flight route. This route, which was opened to tourists in 1997, is designed specifically for elite and business individuals who have limited time but still want to experience the journey. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating geography along the way.

Participating in the Kailash pilgrimage is a challenging endeavor, as it takes place in the Chinese territory of the Hindu Kush Himalaya region in western Tibet. However, Mountainfit has made great efforts to ensure that your travel arrangements are perfectly organized.
